Let your agent download from file hosts and Chinese cloud drives. One token, the same free files and traffic as your FetchPan account.
What is the FetchPan MCP server?
FetchPan is a download service for file hosts (Rapidgator, Katfile, Nitroflare, Turbobit and others) and Chinese cloud drives (Baidu Netdisk, Quark, PikPak and others). Its MCP server lets an AI agent use it: the agent sends a link and gets back a direct download URL.
It works with any MCP client that supports remote servers (Streamable HTTP) and a Bearer token. Below are step-by-step guides for Codex, WorkBuddy and Claude Code. The same token also works on the REST API.

1. Create an API token
A token lets a program act as your account. Treat it like a password: anyone who has it can use your free files and your traffic balance.

2. Connect your agent
Pick your tool. Replace YOUR_TOKEN with the token from step 1 (it fills in by itself right after you create one).
Add this to ~/.codex/config.toml
# 1) in ~/.zshrc or ~/.bashrc, then restart the terminal:
export FETCHPAN_TOKEN="YOUR_TOKEN"
# 2) in ~/.codex/config.toml:
[mcp_servers.fetchpan]
url = "https://fetchpan.com/mcp"
bearer_token_env_var = "FETCHPAN_TOKEN"
Then ask your agent: “List the FetchPan tools.” If it names download, check_link and get_account, you are connected.
Install guides
Create a token first (step 1). Replace YOUR_TOKEN with it. Each guide takes about two minutes.
Codex (OpenAI Codex CLI, IDE extension and app)
Create a token above and copy it.
Add the token to your shell profile (~/.zshrc or ~/.bashrc) as the variable FETCHPAN_TOKEN, then restart the terminal.
Open ~/.codex/config.toml (create it if it does not exist) and add the [mcp_servers.fetchpan] block below. To use it in one project only, put the block in .codex/config.toml inside a trusted project.
Start Codex and type /mcp. fetchpan should be listed. In a plain terminal, codex mcp list shows it too.
Ask: “Use FetchPan to check this link: …”.
Add this to ~/.codex/config.toml
# 1) in ~/.zshrc or ~/.bashrc, then restart the terminal:
export FETCHPAN_TOKEN="YOUR_TOKEN"
# 2) in ~/.codex/config.toml:
[mcp_servers.fetchpan]
url = "https://fetchpan.com/mcp"
bearer_token_env_var = "FETCHPAN_TOKEN"
If you open Codex from an app icon instead of a terminal, it may not see your shell variables. Then replace the bearer_token_env_var line with: http_headers = { Authorization = "Bearer YOUR_TOKEN" } (the token is then stored in the file, so keep the file private).
WorkBuddy
Create a token above and copy it.
In WorkBuddy open Connectors, then Custom connector, then click Configure MCP (top right). This opens the file ~/.workbuddy/mcp.json. Menu names can differ a little between versions.
Add the fetchpan entry below inside mcpServers. Keep any entries that are already there. Click Save.
Open My MCP and switch fetchpan on. If WorkBuddy asks you to trust the server, confirm.
Start a task and ask: “List the FetchPan tools.” You should see download, check_link and get_account.
The same token works on the website's REST API. Base URL: https://fetchpan.com/v1/web, header Authorization: Bearer YOUR_TOKEN.
POST /jobs
Start a job. Body: {"url": "…", "password": "…"}
GET /jobs/{id}
Job status and offers.
POST /jobs/{id}/download
Get the URL. Body: {"tier": "free"} or {"tier": "fast"}
GET /session
Account, balance and free limits.
GET /account
Balance and recent orders and downloads.
GET /sites, GET /hosts
Supported sites with live status.
GET /packages, POST /orders
Traffic packs; create a payment page.
Good to know
A token acts as you. If it leaks, delete it above: it stops working at once.
Limits are the website's: up to 10 new links per hour per account, free files per day as shown on Free vs Fast, 2 GB per free file.
Errors come back as a code and a sentence, for example sign_in_required, daily_limit, too_many_links, not_ready, insufficient_balance. Free-limit errors say when to retry.
Only download files you have the right to. See Copyright / abuse. We do not host files; we open the link you give.
Questions
What is the FetchPan MCP server?
A Model Context Protocol server at https://fetchpan.com/mcp. It gives an AI agent nine tools to check a link, fetch it from a supported file host or Chinese cloud drive, and get a download URL.
How do I add FetchPan to Codex?
Create a token on this page, export it as FETCHPAN_TOKEN, and add a [mcp_servers.fetchpan] block with url = "https://fetchpan.com/mcp" and bearer_token_env_var = "FETCHPAN_TOKEN" to ~/.codex/config.toml. Then run /mcp in Codex to check.
How do I add FetchPan to WorkBuddy?
In WorkBuddy open Connectors, Custom connector, Configure MCP, and add a fetchpan entry with type http, the URL https://fetchpan.com/mcp and an Authorization header "Bearer YOUR_TOKEN" to mcp.json. Save, then switch it on in My MCP.
Is it free?
Creating a token is free. Downloads use your account's free files each day (a few files, up to 2 GB, speed limited) or traffic you bought. The agent can tell you which one a download would use before it spends anything.
Does FetchPan host the files?
No. It opens the link you give it and returns a temporary URL on fetchpan.com that works for 12 hours. Only download files you have the right to.
Is my token safe?
We store only a fingerprint of it, so it is shown once. Anyone who has the token can use your free files and traffic, so keep it private. You can delete it on this page and it stops working at once.
Can I add it to ChatGPT or claude.ai as a connector?
Not yet. Those connectors need OAuth sign-in, and FetchPan uses a Bearer token. Use Codex, WorkBuddy, Claude Code or any client that lets you set an Authorization header.
